Comments : I just spent a good time in Fleur de Lys. The
furnishings and decoration are even more attractive than the pictures.
I stayed with my sister and the layout is great for 2 friends/ family
members; we each had enough space so we never felt cramped. My sister
said that the hide a bed was very comfortable. The real plus of this
apt is the view. Notre Dame is always visible any yet changes
constantly as the light changes through the day- absolutely magical!
The owner, as always, was prompt and professional. I felt more like a
guest than a customer. Any downsides? None really though the steps are
a bit steep. However, there is an elevator which solves this problem.
However, I would suggest that you use the stairs as it allows you to
have 2 rather than one croissant from Kaiser Bakery which is a nice
morning walk (Ave Monge). Again thanks.

Comments: We had the pleasure of
spending nearly two weeks in September in the Fleur de Lis apartment in
the Latin Quarter. Our experience exceeded our expectations! The
location is perfect, the apartment quiet and comfortable and we would
definitely stay there or in one of your other rentals again. So many
thoughtful extras! Thanks so much for making our first trip to Paris
such a memorable one.

My wife and I stayed in the Notre Dame
apartment for a wonderful week in May. This was our 4th visit to
Paris but our first in an apartment. We made the absolute right
choice and look forward to staying here again. We travelled with
another couple who stayed in the Fleur de Lys, one floor below
us. Their reaction was like ours – a great way to stay in
Paris. The arrangements provided by www.parisbestlodge.com
were perfect. Everything was as shown on the website –
actually, better. Some comments about the
neighborhood. About a 100 yards to the north is the Ile de la
Cité and the plaza (Parvis) of Notre Dame just across the south
branch of the Seine. The heart of the Latin Quarter is just to
your west. Boulevard St-Germain is nearby to the south.
There are cafés, boulangeries, patisseries, and good restaurants
close by. Each morning, I would head over to Paul’s
(patisserie) on Blvd. St-Michel for our breakfast of croissants and
other delights. A number of excellent markets are close by to
stock up on picnic items of baguettes, cheeses, grilled sausages, fresh
fruit, wine, and pastries for dessert. We would have our lunch in
Square Viviani, a next-door park overlooking Notre Dame where
you’ll find the oldest tree in Paris, planted before the reign of
Louis XIV, the Sun King (wonder if he walked there?). The apartment is
located on rue Galande which today is a narrow street with hardly any
traffic. However, in our research for our trip, we learned that
rue Galande was a major east-west road during the Roman times (52 BC to
250 AD or so). It is hard to imagine horse drawn chariots racing
by what is now a quiet street on the Left Bank, not far from the famous
Shakespeare and Company bookstore. Using any criteria, the Notre Dame
and other apartments in 73 rue Galande are highly recommended.

Comments: For our first visit to Paris we stayed at the Fleur De Lys
Apartment. I was concerned about about the logistics of renting
internationally but Parisbestlodge was very professional and very easy
to work with.
We were only the third people to stay at the apartment. It still smells
of fresh paint and new appliances! Being so new, it had some minor
kinks to work out; however, the owner was very responsive and any
issues were resolved quickly and painlessly. Fleur de Lys is well
appointed and we had a wonderful time there. The location is PRIME.
There is truly a lovely view of the cathedral (the online pictures
don't do it justice) and is situated on a very picturesque little
cobblestone street that leads right to St. Severin. The area is lively
both DAY and NIGHT, but the bedroom is tucked away enough for a quiet
night's rest. The metro stop, St. Michel, was just a block away. The
famous Shakespeare Book Company is around the corner along with a
wonderful restaurant called Le Petit Chatelet. We hope to go back some day and definitely would rent through Parisbestlodge again!
